Mindfulness Teaching and Mentoring

Mindfulness Based Programs are evidence based trainings suitable for beginners and experienced folks alike teaching meditation, mindful movement, and related skills to help regulate mood, reduce stress and insomnia, interrupt unhelpful habits, and increase compassion, concentration, and resilience.
I’m trained and certified to teach a number of research supported, mindfulness based 8-week programs that are designed to help people manage a variety of mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, and addictions.
You can read about the programs here:
MBCT is designed to prevent the relapse of depression
MBRP is designed for individuals in recovery from addictive behaviors.
MSC teaches participants how to tame their harsh, inner self-critic and approach themselves with kindness and care.
I’ve designed and led many tailored classes and retreats for a wide variety of groups and organizations. Please reach out if you’re interested.
Practice Mentoring

Opening your private practice is a big step. It can be both frightening and liberating.
When I first opened my private about 20 years ago, I longed to connect with someone who had the time, motivation, and know-how to help guide me through the many unknowns.
I’m feeling ready now to share what I’ve learned along the way with others.
Besides the general know how of setting up and managing a solo private practice, I also have some unique experience with the particulars of a testing and assessment practice, including selecting tools, complimentary service providers, and resources for creating a balanced and manageable practice.
If you’d like to engage in practice mentoring with me, schedule a Zoom meeting using my secure portal and note that you’re seeking mentoring (disregard the client paperwork). A mentoring questionnaire will be emailed to you.
Mindfulness Teacher Mentorship

I’ve been practicing and teaching mindfulness and meditation for a number of years and founded the Midwest Alliance for Mindfulness, Kansas City’s first nonsectarian mindfulness and meditation center.
I’m an approved Mentor for aspiring MBCT teachers through UCSD’s Mindfulness Based Professional Training Institute (MBPTI).
According to the MBPTI, one-on-one mentorship is seen as a key component of development for new, as well as experienced teachers of Mindfulness-Based programs.
Mentoring Fees:
UCSD-approved mentors agree to a standard hourly rate of $155 for individual sessions and 90-minute rate of $260 for joint sessions (for co-taught courses).
Please carefully review the Training Pathway and Mentorship Document Packet for your particular training program. Then I welcome you to reach out to me if you’re interested in pursuing mindfulness teacher mentoring.
