Groups

Although many people feel intimidated by the idea of group therapy, this modality of treatment can be a very powerful path toward healing for a number of reasons. Collaborating with a group of people who are struggling with similar concerns helps you understand on an experiential level that you are not alone. Group members become a source of mutual support. Participants often benefit greatly from hearing others experiences and find it very rewarding to help others by sharing what they have learned. Hearing different perspectives can create a paradigm shift that can help participants get “unstuck”. Dr. Ochester occasionally offers therapy groups – if you aren’t already one of her clients, an initial meeting is required to make sure the group is right for you.

Courage to Be Anxiety Group

Are you struggling with anxiety? This therapy group is designed to help you practice the skills of mindfulness and self-compassion, give and receive support with others who truly understand, and learn to meet your fears with courage, acceptance and commitment.

When: 8 Wednesday evenings from 6-7:30 pm March 6 – April 24, 2019

Cost: $40 per session
